The Langford Centre's new Hospital Director joins Glen Care

Sue Harms joined the Langford Centre - Glen Care's largest 63-bed secure unit - in early January. The Langford Centre - secure and locked intensive psychiatric rehabilitation hospital - provides clinical therapy and care for patients from medium secure or forensic placements, as the next step in their care pathway. Qualifying in 1998 Sue began her nursing career in SLAM initially within an adolescent inpatient service and then an in and day patient service for adults with Borderline Personality Disorder. 

Moving to the Priory in 2001 as Therapy Services Manager Sue has gone on to work in a variety of clinical settings including managing day-patient, in-patient, adolescent and adult services.

Her most recent roles have included Clinical Director and Acting Hospital Director in an independent hospital, ensuring clear leadership, operational management and a high standard of quality care. 

With both strategic and operational experience of working within the independent healthcare sector, Sue is looking forward to managing the Langford Centre within an organisation committed to excellent clinical standards and service development.
