Flower art makes the Langford Centre bloom in colours
The Langford Centre was blooming in colours and creative design with flower arrangement sessions for patients. The workshops created a strong sense of achievement and pride with the finished product.
Alternative therapies provide a break from the more regimented programs and are success based. To the patient, alternative therapies provide sensory and mental stimulation, along with therapeutic benefits, such as tactile stimulation, absorbing sights and smells and learning about flowers, which can relieve patient boredom.
Most of all this is a social event, a fun time and a new experience - all patients really enjoyed this and got to take away an arrangement that they made and created themselves.... Great !!
